FAQ Series: Who Do We Work With?

Something about September screams “refresh!” to me. Those fresh sheets of back-to-school notebook paper just beckon this writer to start something new. And that something new here at Doerr&Co. is a little refresh to our model and some of our website content.

While we work behind-the-scenes to focus on our offerings and create clearer details about what it’s like to work with us, we thought we’d concentrate on some of some burning frequently asked questions on the blog through a series of posts…starting today!

Today’s question: What Kind of Organization Do You Work With?

This is an important question because we’re not a fit for all companies and vice versa. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with our clients and so much of that is built on shared values and a strong understanding of what Doerr&Co brings to that partnership.

The simple answer is this: we work with companies, non-profits, brands, and individuals that have a strong mission and vision to do good in the world and want to showcase their values through their messaging strategy.

Organizations we work with range from worker-owned companies with hundreds of employees to small nonprofits with fewer than a dozen employees. From environmental organizations, to non-profit alternative colleges and academic institutes with a social justice mission and/or values, what ties these organizations together is that they are mission-driven, they want to create positive social change, and they want that to show up in their messaging. They are located all around the United States and world.

While the organizational mission of these organizations is similar, budgets are not always. But that’s okay! There are certainly times where our rates don’t seem to fit into the budget of, say, small nonprofits or startups. But we pride ourselves on finding creative ways to work with mission-driven organizations, especially those at the startup or smaller-budget level. While we work to ensure the rates match our expertise, we love to work with organizations to define a scope that does match your budget.

With that, the first quote for services doesn’t have to be the last. Rather it is a starting point to find a way where we can accomplish your goals within your budget. Which begs the question: What is the process for working together? Well, you’re in luck because the next blog post will be focusing on just that.
